Board and Advisory Board

Chairman: Dr. Abdulsalam al-Rubaidi did his doctorate on identity issues and historical awareness in contemporary Yemeni novels at the University of Bonn within the research project “The Struggles over Identity, Morality, and Public Space in Middle Eastern Cities” at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg established by the Volkswagen Foundation. His doctoral research was published in 2020 as “Identity Constructions in Contemporary Yemeni Novels”  He is also an Associate Fellow at CARPO (Center for Applied Research in Partnership with the Orient) and an editor for Arabic contributions at al-Madaniya magazine.

Vice chairman: Ameen Shandhor did his Master of Science in Technology & Innovation Management at the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences in Brandenburg an der Havel. Under the name Ameen Al-Yafaee, he has been writing articles and studies on cultural and political topics in various Arabic journals since 2006.

Treasurer: Dr. Anne-Linda Amira Augustin did her doctorate in Sociology on the Southern Movement, resistance, and generational relations in South Yemen at the Philipps-University Marburg, where she also worked as a research associate at the Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies. She is a non-resident scholar at the Middle East Institute in Washington. She is currently working as an advisor at the European representative office of the Southern Transitional Council in Berlin.
