Women of South Yemen: Past, Present and the Future

The Academic Forum Muhammad Ali Luqman and Independent Diplomat cordially invite all to a special public panel discussion on “Women of South Yemen: Past, Present and the Future”.

As we mark International Women’s Day, the panel discussion will explore the vital role South Yemeni women have played in their decade’s long struggle for peace, and the challenges ahead for advancing women’s participation in the UN-led political process.

A retrospective photo exhibition of women’s roles in public life will also be on display, accompanied by remarks from Fatima Ali al-Baiti, Chairperson of the South Arabian Women’s Association in Germany.
